Some truly fntatsaic information, Gladiola I noticed this. Three things you can be judged by your voice, your face, and your disposition. by Ignas Bernstein.
There’s a guy who plays the Erhu in the subway where I’m from as well. My friend loved the sound so much that she wanted him to play her wedding… Turns out he charges $200 per hour and just plays the subway to share the music.
I’ve nothing but admiration! I’m trying to learn to play one of these right now and it’s truly a c hallenge. A rewarding and amazing instrument. The pipa is great too! Chinese folk instruments are gorgeous!!!!!!

So much for pocket change :)
He also frequents the 110th platform on the southbound side. Always wondered what his instrument was called.
