No one is cool enough to pull it off, or, taken another way, the very fact that anyone over the age of 21 wants to dress up like Vash makes them automatically not cool enough to pull it off.
Sad to see that so many folks especially in the US are biased against going barefoot, in Europe it’s usually seen as healthy, if a bit unusual. There’s really nothing wrong with being barefoot, I haven’t worn footwear for fifteen years (none at all!), I’ve never had a cut, at most a tiny splinter about once a year, never had any infections, blisters, fungus or warts. Our skin is meant to keep pathogens out, we’re at far greater risk of picking something up with our hands than through our feet. Also ‘foot’ odor should really be called ‘shoe odor’ since it develops in anaerobic circumstances like inside closed shoes (I agree with the pictures of people taking their shoes off on the train and letting their socks air out -those feet quite probably smell bad, but bare feet that have been bare all the time do not!). Sure, soles do look dirty when walking barefoot but nothing some soap and water won’t take care of.
